Every corpse you carry has mass, and mass has opinions. How encumbrance became Gravemarch's core dialogue.
A body is not an inventory item. It is a promise you made to somebody, and it gets heavier the longer you keep it.
Mass as narrative
Weight now feeds stamina, footing, noise and the swing of the lantern. Cross a bog with two on the bier and the moor will tell you exactly what you have taken on.
